Biography

Molly Fisher is a writer/director who has worked on narrative, documentary, commercial, and branded content projects. 

Molly’s most recent narrative short film, Party Dress, was selected as a winner of the Glamour Magazine/GirlGaze New View Film Competition by a panel of judges that included Jill Soloway, Shonda Rhimes, Geena Davis, Dee Rees, and Sheila Nevins. 

Her other writer/director credits include “#6”, a short documentary produced by Levi’s / GirlGaze, which screened at international women’s day events across the country; “Hugh”, a 2015 documentary short; the 2014 short film “Little Girl Blue”, starring Odeya Rush; “Bat”, a narrative short that won a grant and distribution from Celtx, and “I Like Your Face”, a 2011 short film starring john Albano and Mackenzie Davis. 

Molly graduated from NYU Tisch School of the Arts, where she won the John Golden Award for excellence in playwriting. In 2011 she founded Strawtooth Films, a film collective, with her friend Zach Fleming. 

She is currently prepping her first feature film.
