Visual, stylized storyteller with a very intimate heart.

Lena Tsod is a Los Angeles based commercial and film director and Columbia University Alumni. Best known for her work in advertising, Lena has worked with clients and agencies such as Adidas, Coca-Cola, Ford, McDonald’s, BBDO, DDB, McCann, and TBWA among many others.

Her first European commercial (a visual, heartwarming spot) for Rostelekom titled “Phone” garnered her the award for Best Directorial Debut at the Frame Advertising Festival. When she moved to the US, she quickly found success again with winning the ASCAP Best Collaboration with Musicians Award.

Lena carries a love for the absurd, cold weather, complex psychology, and a rebellious spirit in the characters that inspire her. She recently developed and directed a psycho-thriller short film titled “Storm”, which traveled the festival circuit and was featured in Short of the Week. Lena is currently in pre-production on her first feature film, “Bitsy”.
